  1. For me, seeing firsthand how vast and expansive the influence of World War II on the country as a whole gave me new and valuable insights into the consequences of such senseless violence and lack of understanding of other peoples. I had no idea that Warsaw had to be essentially rebuilt after WWII, and even in Lublin and Krakow, cities a substantial distance away from Warsaw, similar effects of the Nazis' power could be seen.
